Hillwalking is a pursuit enjoyed by millions of people throughout the world. It extremely popular in the UK and especially in Scotland where we are blessed with more than our fair share of the beatiful and the rugged mountain landscape. More than this, almost all of the mountain ranges in Scotland are easily accessible.

Hillwalking is an increasingly popular pursuit in Scotland with spectacular walks to suit all abilities.

Named after the man who first catalogued them in 1891, the Scottish Munros comprise all the hills in the Scottish Highlands which are over 3,000ft (914.4m) in height. Numbers vary according to the precise surveying methods used, but it’s generally agreed that there are 284 Munros, the highest being Ben Nevis, standing at 4,409ft (1,344m). Climbing all of them, or Munro-bagging as it’s usually known, is an increasingly popular pursuit.
